About the Event

Join SACC as we present the Inaugural Dainty Festival and the 51st Annual World Championship Dainty Contest!

We're kicking off a weekend celebrating Dainty with a Dainty Fundraiser at The Merryweather featuring bands, drink specials, games, raffles, and more! More information here:

On Sunday, visit the Dainty Vendor Village in the outdoor area behind the old Hauck's Handy Store where you can shop Schnitzelburg stores in one convenient location!

On the last Monday in July, crowds will gather on George Hauck Way for the 51st year to see who will be crowned the 2021 Dainty Champion.

Monday's event will feature the classic Dainty Contest, food trucks (bologna sandwiches!), a beer garden, and the Vendor Village. SACC will be on hand selling shirts, koozies, and Dainty prints as well as raising money for some great projects we're working on for the community. We've expanded the event space to bring you the biggest Dainty Contest yet!

Monday's Schedule:

5:00 - Opening Prayer & National Anthem - Sylvia Walters

5:15 - Dignitaries Play

5:30 - Open Competition Begins

8:00 - German Band Starts

Dainty Rules:

- Must be 45 or older to play

-You cannot sign up prior to the event; playing order is determined on a first come basis

-You get three "strikes" and you are out. One strike = any contact of the bat with the dainty

-Person to hit the dainty the furthest within bounds will be crowned the winner, given eternal glory, and receive a trophy + prize

-The individual who hits the dainty the shortest distance will receive the traditional basket of lemons

As always, proceeds from the Dainty Contest will be donated to the Little Sisters of the Poor.
